Sophie Price 
Administrator 

Sophie is a soprano and voice teacher based in London. Her musical career began at an early age, receiving trumpet lessons from her father from the age of 4 and beginning to sing with the RSNO Junior Chorus under Christopher Bell aged 7. Sophie sang with the RSNO and the National Youth Choir of Scotland; performing in the Amsterdam Conzertgebouw Hall, Royal Albert Hall, Edinburgh Usher Hall, Glasgow Royal Concert Hall and the Caird Hall. She began studying singing with Wilma MacDougall of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in 2009 and has performed as a soloist for the RSNO Junior Chorus, HSOG Chamber Choir, and performed on BBC Radio 3 and BBC 1. 

 

In 2017 Sophie graduated with a First Class Degree in Music at the University of Manchester and in 2018 completed the RNCM’s postgraduate Associate Student Scheme studying with Deborah Rees. She has performed as both an ensemble member and soloist with various groups (including Esmerelda (The Bartered Bride), Mercedes/Frasquita (Carmen), Fiordiligi (Cosi Fan Tutte), Helena (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), Dame Elizabeth Murgatroyd (Ruddigore) and Simona (Gianni Schicchi) and regularly sings new contemporary music. Her concert work includes the She Collective, Musica Festival, Manchester Sick! Festival, Derbyshire City & County Wind Band, Vaganza New Music Festival, New Music Northwest Festival, Guildhall Alumni Choir and Art Song in Action. 

 

Since moving to London in 2018, Sophie has been studying with soprano Sarah Tynan, juggling teaching, performing and administrative roles, and is very excited to get going with Connecting Stars for Constella.
