Ed Ballard
Baritone
Ed studied at Cambridge University, the Royal Academy of Music and with the Royal Academy Opera, where he was supported by the International Opera Awards Foundation and was a Britten-Pears Young Artist.
He made his professional debut creating the title role in Luke Styles' Macbeth for Glyndebourne Festival Opera's Jerwood Opera and at the Linbury Theatre, Royal Opera House. He has since performed in opera houses across the UK, France, Germany, Switzerland and the Netherlands in repertoire ranging from Mozart to Gerald Barry.
Alongside his operatic work, he performs as a concert soloist in a wide range of settings. He lives in London with his wife and two young children.
