Ansley Waguespack
Connecting Stars Emerging Artist

Ainsley Waguespack is a professional freelance dancer from Houston, Texas. Following her HIgh School graduation in 2018, Ainsley moved to London to attend Central School of Ballet’s (CSB) three year undergraduate course and further her professional training. At Central she trained in styles such as Ballet, Contemporary, Modern, Jazz, Flamenco, Pas de Deux, and Improvisation. As part of her final year Ainsley had the opportunity to perform with Ballet Central, the third year touring company at CSB where she performed works by Christopher Marney, Charlotte Edmunds, and Sir Matthew Bourne. Ainsley graduated in 2021 with a BA (Hons) in Performing Arts.

Following her graduation Ainsley joined Ballet Cymru 2 in Wales where she performed with the Royal Welsh College of Music in addition to performing works by Patricia Vallis, Krystal Lowe, Marcus Jarell-Willis, and Jack Philp. She also had the opportunity to work closely and perform with the main company. She  joined them on their Summer Tour of Dream, based on Shakesphere’s A Midsummer Night's Dream. Most recently Ainsley was part of the Corps de Ballet in Brecon Festival Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker and performed the roles of Snowflakes and Waltz of the Flowers.

Some of her most notable roles include Gamzatti (La Bayadere), Precious Stones (Sleeping Beauty), Odalisque and lead Veil (Le Corsaire), Dew Drop (The Nutcracker), and a Sylph (Highland Fling). Despite performing in many ballets, Ainsley's favorite styles are contemporary-ballet and neoclassical ballets and would love to do more in the future.

Ainsley is very grateful to be part of the Connecting Stars program and is excited to share her love of dance with the community and the audiences of Constella OperaBallet.
