A graduate of the University of Kent’s MA Creative Producing course, Alice Bezant began her professional career as Artistic Administrator at a regional commercial theatre. Building experience through Production and Stage Manager roles on a variety of plays, such as Marine Parade, The Cherry Orchard and a commissioned piece for the Gulbenkian Theatre, Alice has combined her theoretical and practical skill into making theatre her profession, undertaking the MA to consolidate her understanding of the arts as a business.
Invited onto a placement with Opera Holland Park, she participated in concert rehearsals and talks with the OHP team, whilst assisting with production and research for their upcoming seasons. As a Student Ambassador for the Royal Opera House, Alice supported Covent Garden performances, and increased their active audience base. The Kent Student Awards recognised this experience and her dedication to arts and culture on campus, by presenting Alice with the ‘Outstanding Contribution to Arts and Culture’ Award.
With a focus on production and participation at a range of performance venues, and now with Constella OperaBallet, engineering enriching and innovative ways for the arts to interact with the community sits at the heart of Alice’s work.
